Hi everyone! We’d like to formally introduce Double Bondies, a mentorship program between chemistry graduate students. The CATALYST president works to pair new graduate students with current graduate student mentors so that new students have a resource throughout their program. The mentee can contact their mentor whenever they would like to gain any insights on research or the program. Typically mentors will be paired with mentees who are interested in a field outside of their own, so that the mentee has an additional contact outside of the lab they will be working in. Essentially the purpose of Double Bondies is to create connections between new and senior graduate students and give the new students a person to comfortably contact.
We hope the mentors and mentees will keep great and long lasting connections!
